CQRS coding issue at Microtest GP practices
Kernow Local Medical Committee (LMC) has expressed its concern to Microtest on behalf of local GP practices about its coding for the Calculating Quality Reporting Service (CQRS) which counts towards Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) payments.
There have been reports that some local practices’ year-end figures weren’t as expected, due to a technical issue with the coding.
Practices are understandably very concerned over the financial and workload impact.
The LMC has sought assurances from Microtest that it is addressing the matter and will continue to monitor the issue and provide updates when there are new developments.
Of the 32 local Microtest practices, 11 are now fully resolved, 19 are in progress and two have had no reported issues.
If practices have concerns they can email Microtest’s helpdesk at: email@example.com
The LMC understands that Microtest and NHS Kernow will undertake a review to identify the cause of the issue, lessons learnt and recommendations to prevent a reoccurrence.
